Hartselle Jr. High School 6 - 8 grades
Morgan County High School 9 - 10 grades
Danville High School 11 - 12 grades

Randy participated in little league baseball in elementary school and pee wee football in jr. high school.

When Hartselle made the decision to move from the Morgan County School System to a city school, Randy was asked if he would like to transfer to Danville High School and be a part of their first football team. He moved to Danville High and was co-captain on the first year football team. He also played basketball and baseball.

At the completion of his junior year he was one of five students selected to spend a week at UNA participating in the Outstanding Young Americans Conference.

Randy graduated in 1977 as Senior Class President, member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club and Outstanding Student of The Year in Psychology.
