At age 12, Randy began playing bass guitar with his family group, 'The Vest Quartet', providing Gospel Music in many venues. He also had many years of tenure with the Psalmists, Regents and Heart to Heart. He was offered a fulltime position with the Dixie Ecoes in 1989 but turned down the offer due to relocating his family to Pensacola Florida. Randy grew up in Oak Ridge United Methodist Church becoming a member at age 11. He was elected the youngest person to serve as the Administrative Council Chairperson. He also served as Song Leader, Sunday School Teacher and Director. Randy spent 9 years with a local camp of the Gideons International. There he served as Treasurer, Vice President and Assignment Secretary. His family moved to Johnson Chapel United Methodist Church where he served as Administrative Council Chairperson and Chairman of the Building Committee. Randy and Saronda joined St. Luke United Methodist Church in Decatur Alabama in 2000. There they have been Co-worship Leaders for 8 years. Randy has been an assistant Sunday School Teacher, Interim Choir Director and served 3 years on the Board of Trustees, 1 year as Chairman.
